Five Question Friday – *June 17*

by Carrie with Children with 17 comments

Hooray for Friday!  I can’t wait to go through all the pictures and video from last night’s Chevy Pizza Crawl and share them with you!  It was a fun event and the Chevy Volt is a really awesome car.  Stay tuned for the inside scoop in an upcoming post!

What are you up to this weekend?  Any big plans for Father’s Day?

Just a reminder, I’m linking up with others for Five Question Friday and I don’t make up the questions. Click on the button above to see a linky list of others also participating. Be sure and share your answers below too!
What is your favorite summertime activity? I don’t get to go nearly as much as I used to, but I love watching my husband wakeboarding!  He loves wakeboarding and he’s good at it….therefore, it makes me happy!   He took some video last weekend while he was out on the boat, I’m going to try and work my magic to make a fancy video of it soon!  Maybe I’ll post it here!

Do you have one laundry soap you stick to, or do you buy whatever is on sale? Once upon a time, when I first moved in with my husband (then boyfriend),  he instantly forgot how to do his own laundry and it became my chore instead.  So I bought whatever detergent was on sale. After a few weeks of my husband thinking he had poison ivy, we discovered that it was actually the laundry detergent’s fault!  LOL   So….  we are now a “Tide Only” family.  (Hey Tide….need a new ambassador? Call me!)

What is your favorite dinner to make in the summer? I’m still a chef in training around here and don’t really have a “favorite” summertime dish.  So I’ll tell you my husband’s favorite instead… barbecue chicken!   We usually have it with corn on the cob and baked beans.  Yum!

Do you have any talents? I was a clogger (a type of dance) for 16 years!  I hung up my dancing shoes in 2001 and my knees are very happy with that decision.  Dance and the performing arts has a special place in my heart.

If you could instantly be an expert in something, what would it be?  Why? This is a tough one!  If I had to choose just one thing, I’d pick cooking!  Wouldn’t it be amazing to know how to cook like Bobby Flay or Paula Deen!   That would be a dream come true!

I’d love to be an expert in cooking too! Maybe then I wouldn’t struggle with what to cook each night.

I struggle with that same problem every day! I bet Paula Deen never worries about what she’s going to cook for dinner 🙂

Oh my goodness you can clog! I love you now. Just the idea of anyone clogging makes me happy and jealous. I really want to be able to tap, but if I could clog I’d be equally satisfied.

    Have a great weekend!

Ha! Clogging rocks! 🙂 If you can tap dance, you can clog! Very similar! Hope you are having a great weekend too! <3

A clogger…that’s a first for me. Does it mean you dance wearing clogs? I might go and google that now. Hi there, visiting from 5QF.

Thanks for stopping by! Nope, no wooden clogs. They are just like tap shoes, except a tap dancer has one tap on the heel and toe…we have two on each that jingle. 🙂

I am such a slow poke…my kiddo & I still need to make our father’s day present…it’s the same thing every year & my husband loves it…

I get a canvas, my son & I paint it with his hands and feet and I write a father’s day poem over it.

We have a frame in our office & change out the previous years with the current years painting

That is a fantastic idea for a Father’s Day gift! I love it! So cool…..I may have to “borrow” it 🙂

When I was younger my favorite summertime activity was laying on a raft and getting as tan as I coud. Now its too hot to lay out and get a tan, but I would still love to lay on a raft in a pool.
We usually buy what’s on sale but I prefer Gain-love the smell.
My favorite dinner is baked chicken, mac n cheese not the box stuff, corn on the cob and biscuits with of course tea.
I won’t say my clogging is a talent because I was never advanced, I like to think my talent is planning parties and creating a theme to go with it-example Leland’s two year birthday party was train related-CHOO CHOO I’M TWO.
I would love to be an expert cake decorator to go along with my theme parties.

Oh I like the smell of Gain too!!

Baked chicken is one of my favs..and I always have room for hummy mac and cheese too!

It would be fun to be an expert at cake decorating!

I would totally choose cooking too! I’d love to not have to struggle to find and make new dishes! And know they’ll always be delicious 🙂

    • Carrie with Children

Exactly! If I was an expert at cooking, I’d never be stressed about cooking…or messing it up 🙂
